Dead by Daylight has a good license streak. First, we got a Tokyo Ghoul killer. Almost a month ago, we received anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter. Due to that, this nine-year-old game reached a record of popularity and gathered over 120,000 concurrent players on Steam at its peak (via SteamDB). Now, another big collaboration is coming. The Walking Dead Chapter will soon join DBD with two new survivors – Rick and Michonne. Of course, They also bring three unique perks. Especially one looks like it will be a permanent addition to many players' builds – Last Stand.

Last Stand in DBD explained

New perks added in The Walking Dead Chapter are very interesting. Apocalyptic Ingenuity and Conviction are good additions to the game. However, there is one especially unique skill, Last Stand, which brings a new element to the game – stun by vault. So, how does this perk work? Let’s look at its description.

After spending 80/70/60 seconds in the Killer's Terror Radius while not in chase, when you fast-vault, stun the Killer for 3/3/3 seconds if they are within 2.5/2.5/2.5 meters. Then, this perk is disabled for the rest of the trial.

After the Last Stand activates, the vault will have a special animation. This perk allows you to rescue another survivor – just like pallet drop or flashlight. So, in the right hands, it can be a powerful tool. However, there is a catch. You can’t use Last Stand infinitely. As you can read in the description, it is available only once per match. So, you must use it carefully.

Rick and Michonne perks are currently available only on Public Test Servers via Steam. To access it, right-click Dead by Daylight in your Steam Library, select Properties, click the "Betas" tab, and choose "public-test". However, you must keep in mind that Michonne isn’t playable as survivor yet. Chapter will be released on main servers on July 29th, and both survivors should be ready by then.
