Latest PoE 2 update patches a lot of bugs. At the same time, Xbox access sharing comes to an end
Path of Exile 2 received a new update that introduces the option to change the Ascendancy class. It also removes the possibility for Xbox console owners to share the game.

As announced last week, Grinding Gear Games released a new update for Path of Exile 2. Version 0.2.0f introduces quite a lot of minor and major changes, but at the same time, it irritated some Xbox Series X/S players.
Path of Exile 2 - new features in version 0.2.0f
Some of the implemented new features have already been described in the previous news; nevertheless, it is worth briefly highlighting the most important ones.
- The possibility of changing the Ascendancy class after retaking the test at the appropriate level of difficulty.
- Changes in charm items - new belts from level 30 have 1-2 spaces for charms, and from level 60: 1-3 spaces. The modifier for additional places has been removed, and the values of some prefixes have been increased.
- New "affinities" have been added to the chest, which will allow for the quick transfer of items placed in slots, fragments (including trial keys and tablets), and items from Breach, Expedition, and Ritual mechanics.
- Bookmarks have been added to the locations on the Atlas.
- Weaker runes have been removed from the pool of items to be obtained after reaching specific levels.
The full list of changes is much longer and also includes improvements to monsters, totems, endgame, and some skills. There are also many error fixes. You can read the whole thing on the Path of Exile website.
No more sharing PoE 2 on Xbox
The latest patch also blocked the game sharing feature on Xbox, which, according to the developers, a group of bots was using to gain access to PoE 2 for free.
As part of the 0.2.0f patch deployed today we made a change that requires your account to have purchased early access in order to use the Path of Exile 2 Xbox client.
This introduced a new bug, which caused some legitimate players to lose access to PoE 2. The developers have already fixed this issue, and the affected accounts should be able to log in again. Not all players liked the change, especially those who spent extra money on microtransactions.
I've been playing PoE2 since launch thanks to my homie that I've played with since then through gameshare. Came back to play the new update and even bought a few of the mystery crates and bought guild stash tabs too near launch so me and him could trade and sell stuff. All in all I've put more money into the game than the actual price of it in the first place and Now all of that was for nothing unless I spend more money to play a game I've already spent hundreds of hours and dollars on.
So the people who haven't purchased early access but have spent almost $100 on the game since then still won’t be able to access the game?
These are isolated cases, and most players appear to have no issue with the change and find it reasonable.
