The first trailer for the anime movie Look Back, based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, author of Chainsaw Man, has finally been shown. Along with the video, a poster for the highly anticipated production has also been made available. The movie is scheduled for release this year, on June 28 to be exact. That's when Look Back will hit cinemas in Japan. At this point, we don’t know when the production will be shown in other countries

Below you can watch the Look Back trailer, which features the movie's theme song, Light song written by haruka nakamura and sung by urara.

The film, directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who was previously involved in such productions as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Devilman: Crybaby and Evangelion Movie 2: Ha, was created by Studio Durian. Oshiyama is also responsible for the script and character designs, while Kiyoshi Sameshima is the art director and haruka nakamura is in charge of the music.

Ayumu Fujino will speak with voice of Yumi Kawai, while Kyomoto will be voiced by Mizuki Yoshida.

Look Back is the story of fourth-grader Ayumu Fujino and her truant schoolmate, Kyomoto. Ayumu is a young artist whose short manga is published in the school newspaper, but as it turns out, she isn’t the only cartoonist at school. Kyomoto also creates art and one day publishes her manga. Students start comparing the two girls' work afterwards, mostly praising the truant girl, of whom Ayumu begins to be jealous and tries to do her best to outshine her friend, but in time she puts down her pencil and gives up. Years later, the two girls' lives may change when Ayumu is asked to deliver Kyomoto her graduation diploma.
