Censorship in Lost Ark? Gamers Criticize Amazon and Point Out Differences

Lost Ark sparks controversy due to strange artistic decisions in version prepared for western market. Fans point out that this edition changes, among others, character skin colors. Additionally, Amazon bans people who express their dissatisfaction with this state of affairs.

Amazon Games' Lost Ark is currently available in Korea, Russia and Japan. In less than two months - on February 11, 2022 - the game will also come to Europe and North America. However, as it turns out, the version of the title intended for the Western market is already stirring controversy. All this is due to strange artistic decisions made by the producer (already called censorship by some disgruntled users) and bans imposed on people complaining about the matter.

Twitter user Yogensha published screenshots showing the differences between the Korean, Russian and European version of Lost Arc. They reveal that some characters have changed skin color. In addition, their outfits in the West will be less sultry and will cover most of the body.

As if that wasn't enough, differences are also to be seen in the character creator. In the western version players will have fewer faces to choose from.

A discussion flared up under the entry, revealing another interesting fact - Amazon avoids any dialogue with dissatisfied players. Instead, people who raise the topic on Steam forums are getting banned. So it can be expected that the developers do not plan to change their decisions.
