Lost Ark Will Get More Genders and Less Skimpy Outfits

Lost Ark will receive more options for character gender selection. Less skimpy outfits will also be added to the game.

  • New character classes in Lost Ark will more often offer the option to choose a different gender;
  • Some of the classes already in the game will also receive this option over time;
  • New, less skimpy outfits will also be added to the MMO.

If you have played Lost Ark you probably noticed a rather peculiar phenomenon. Some character classes have a specific gender assigned.

An example is the warrior, which can only be a man. A sorceress, on the other hand, is reserved only for women. Such a solution limits the immersion for some players to a great extent.

Developers promise more options

Developers want to meet the expectations of dissatisfied players. Developers from Smilegate announced that individual character classes will receive more gender options.

The developers will do this by introducing new special classes (advanced class) in both variants. Changes will also include some existing classes. For example, a female version of the barbarian will soon debut in Korea.

In addition, the developers will make efforts to ensure gender balance in the future. More classes and special classes are to debut in both variants.

More armor instead of bikinis

The game was also attacked for too skimpy outfits of female characters. Developers have an answer to this issue as well.

In the future more armor will be added to the game, which will resemble real armor and not an iron bikini. This does not mean, however, that the already available outfits will be removed.

The developers want the game offer something both for fans of the original Lost Ark style and players from the West, who may not like this kind of elements. New costumes will be an addition, not a replacement for the existing armor.

Furthermore, scanty clothing will now not be used so often in marketing materials and in the character creator.
