More Quests and Story; New Content for Lost Ark in March [UPDATED]

We've learned some of the new features coming to the western release of Lost Ark in March. These will include: a new storyline and the so-called Abyss Raids, in which players will have to deal with powerful Guardians.

Update

March update for Lost Ark will be released today. The technical break associated with it should have just started. It will last about four hours. The full list of new features and fixes can be found here.

Original message

Lost Ark has won the hearts of gamers in the West. The title has debuted on our market thanks to the efforts of Amazon Games on February 11 this year and currently it is one of the most played titles on Steam. However, it should be remembered that the edition available to Western gamers is not as extensive as the edition available in South Korea from 2019. This will slowly change, however.

The official website of the game published information that still in March the Western edition of Lost Ark will see new elements, enriching the content. They come directly from the Korean edition.

New storyline

As part of the upcoming content, Western players will get the opportunity to explore a new storyline in Lost Ark.

First, in the coming weeks, Western players can expect a new story line - Kadan. It is intended for characters with items at level 1100 or higher. Its action will take place on the islands of Isteri and Illusion Bamboo. The story will focus on the Sidereals and the search for Kadan, the first Guardian-slayer. The plot will not lack old and returning characters, a number of quests to complete, etc.

Abyss Raid

Abyss Raids will be designed for experienced players.

Second, in March Lost Ark will see the addition of Abyss Raids. They will be part of the so-called "endgame". They are similar in design to the Guardian Raids already present in the game. In this activity, parties of 1 to 8 players will have to defeat a large Guardian with a fair amount of health. Battles will be divided into three phases of increasing difficulty. The daredevils will receive appropriate rewards for completing each phase.

However, to prevent the whole thing from being too easy, the game time and the number of revives will be limited. In order to survive, all characters must work together.

In order to take part in Abyss Raid, you will need to use special statues. They will appear in every major city in the game.

These two elements will not be the only novelties that appear in Lost Ark in the near future. Details on other attractions will be announced soon.

Weekly fixes

On the same occasion, the creators of Lost Ark published one more announcement, concerning weekly patches. Players can count on, among other things, lowering the difficulty of some Guardian Raids and Abyss Dungeons (mainly concerning health reduction for the bosses so that fights with them are not so time-consuming), improving the stability of matchmaking in Central Europe, fixing Crystalline Aura, etc. In addition, the developers are working on improving the situation with the stores, as well as catching bots and spammers more efficiently, as well as a more convenient system of maintenance work for players, which currently causes breaks in access to the title.

The team responsible for Lost Ark also spoke about the queues to the game's servers in Central Europe. Once again it was emphasized that there is no way to increase their capacity. Adding new ones is impossible, mainly due to the complexity of the game systems and their interactions with each other. However, the developers are working on improving the stability of play in this region. More details can be found here.

We remind that Lost Ark is available exclusively on PC. You can play the title for free,
