Free Update Brings Daisy and Shy Guy To Mario Strikers Battle League

A free update is coming to Mario Strikers: Battle League that will add Daisy and Shy Guy to the game’s roster. And the best part, the update goes live on Friday!

Nintendo announced the first free update for Mario Strikers: Battle League, which will include two new characters and a new stadium. As a bonus, players will only have to wait until the end of this week because the free update arrives on Friday.

What’s new?

The two new characters that will be added to Mario Strikers: Battle League include Daisy, a technique-type character, and Shy Guy, a well-rounded type character with stats equally balanced across the board. Aside from new characters, the Desert Ruin stadium will be added with the update along with the Knight gear, improving strength and shooting skills.

Future updates in 2022

This update is the first of three updates still to come this year. It’s unclear what will be included in future updates, but it’s easy to speculate that there will be new characters, new gear, and new stadiums. With Shy Guy being the first enemy character to join the roster, there is room for characters like Koopa Troopa or even Goomba to join in the future. But for now, only time will tell what’s in store for the future of this game.

This also follows in the footsteps of the free update for Mario Golf: Super Rush, which didn’t have three free updates, but does show the beginning of a pattern that could be really great for future Nintendo Switch games. Hopefully, Nintendo continues to reward fans with new free content.

Are you excited to try out these new characters in Mario Strikers: Battle League later this week? Are you more excited for Daisy or Shy Guy? Leave a comment below letting us know your thoughts!
