Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Patch Add Ray Tracing on PS5 and XSX

A new patch for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy fixes multiple bugs and adds ray tracing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The dust has already settled after the release pf Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, but that and the lack of an online mode doesn't mean work is over for the developers. Eidos Montreal has already taken on the task of improving the game, resulting in the release of the next update on consoles. The patch is also set to hit PCs on Friday (via Reddit).

The update brings primarily various improvements and fixes for bugs, including those related to the resetting of difficulty settings, Star-Lord's glowing red eyes, etc. The developers have also improved the performance of the game on PS4 and ensured better stability on all consoles.

There's also room for a couple of new features. The first is a hidden system of save file rollback, which should help players who encounter bugs that prevented further play. The second, probably more important, concerns the 9th-gen platforms. We're talking about the addition of ray tracing support on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This option is available in the video settings. In addition, the creators enabled XSX owners to disable fps cap, offering gameplay at between 30 and 60 frames per second. Eidos Montreal recommends that you use this feature together with VRR (that is, the variable frame rate option).
