After months of leaks and announcements, it is finally here - today Minecraft will receive update 1.20. The patch titled Trails & Tales introduces a multitude of changes and new features that should appeal to all fans of the game.
The Trails & Tales update was identified with big news, expected for a long time already from the first announcements in October 2022. Here's what patch 1.20 will mainly introduce:

Trails & Tales update 1.20 will be available as a free download for all owners of Minecraft. The debut time is unknown, but - given the releases of previous updates (1.18 and 1.19), it is expected that patch 1.20 will be made available between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. CET.
It will require a download of about 40 MB of data, which may take up more disk space after unpacking. The process of installing the patch will vary depending on the version of the game you have:
Minecraft hit the market in 2011, but made its beta debut in 2009, meaning it has been in development for more than 14 years. The developers, in addition to numbered patches, plan to enhance the game with DLCs containing a 10-hour Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Gamers are also adding their two cents - creating, for example, spectacular creations such as Minecraft in Minecraft or reflection of the entire universe.
