Sea Power gets a modern jet upgrade with Ace Combat Pack mod. Soon, maybe even a space launch platform will be added.
Where would we be without modders? Some of their work is straight-up art, like packing the entire Shrek movie into a game. Others, though… well, let’s just say they’re cursed (seriously, don’t check the Monster Hunter Wilds one). But then you’ve got the real lifesavers – mods that bring modern tech to older games. And then there’s this completely insane one. Someone’s trying to turn Sea Power into another game.
Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age is a deep, strategic air and naval warfare game that lets you command NATO and Warsaw Pact forces across Cold War-era battles from the '60s to the '80s. But for some, the air combat just wasn’t quite enough.
Meanwhile, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a more action-packed aerial combat, letting players take control of advanced fighter jets. And that was exactly what was missing – the perfect mix of the Ace Combat universe and Sea Power strategic gameplay.
So, Misaka and Texas_the_Omertosa decided to fix that. Their mod for Sea Power brings elements of Ace Combat 7 into the game. Key features are:
But there are some limitations as well:
And that’s not even the whole story. Misaka shared on BuOrd: Naval Modding Community Discord that they’re working on even more Ace Combat 7 content, like the International Space Elevator. Yeah, you heard that right. They’re bringing the Lighthouse into a Cold War-era game.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
