New Mortal Kombat Will Feature a Guest Appearance From Iconic Fantasy Character (Leak)

Later this year, the next installment of the legendary fighting game series Mortal Kombat will debut on the market. According to the latest reports, the game will feature an equally iconic character. Who is it?

The beginning of the Mortal Kombat series dates back to 1992. It was then that the first part of - as it later turned out - the hit brand appeared on the market. The universe created by Ed Boon and John Tobias from Midway Games has lived to see (in addition to several movies) 11 main installments, in which we could fight fierce duels with various characters.

And although Mortal Kombat 1 - because that's the title of the new installment - still holds a lot of mysteries, with the help of industry insiders. Recently one of them, Jez Corden, during an episode of the Xbox Two podcast revealed that his guest appearance in the game will be none other than Conan the Barbarian. Admittedly, this is not official information, but the journalist has already proven many times that he has verified sources. Let's add that a few days ago Corden revealed, that in Mortal Kombat 1 we will also see Peacemaker from the DC universe and Homelander from The Boys. The game itself will reportedly debut this September.

Recall that Conan the Barbarian (or Conan of Cymeria, if you prefer) is a character created by American writer Robert E. Howard in a series of fantasy stories published in the 1930s in the pages of Weird Tales magazine.

The character - dark-haired barbarian, the greatest warrior of the Western world derived from Hyborian mythology - became an icon of fantasy literature. The popularity of Conan has undoubtedly been fueled by two feature-length movie adaptations with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role.
