Multiplayer and Coop in Phantom Brigade Explained

In this article we talk about multiplayer and coop in Phantom Brigade. Find out if you can play with friends.

Phantom Brigade is a new game about mechs. It is distinctive because you can see the enemy’s movements 5 seconds into the future. You have to adjust to them and lead your units wisely. It is very tactical, turn-based experience, so don’t expect a lot of action (however, you can watch replays). In this article we will tell you if the game is multiplayer or coop. Find out if you can play with friends.

Multiplayer and Coop in Phantom Brigade

Sadly, there are no plans for the multiplayer or coop experience at the moment. Brace Yourself Games stated it in their Phantom Brigade FAQ. They want to concentrate on the single-player campaign.

Nevertheless, it is a turn-based game (at least to some extent), so it should be possible to implement the multiplayer or coop features (in some way). Don’t lose hope.

However, keep in mind that it will be a challenge to adjust five-second vision into the future in the case of PvP, and it is very important distinctive mechanics of the title. This may limit developers. Also if the campaign is planned and designed as a single-player experience, it may be impossible to add a cooperation mode to it.

If you want to buy the game only to play with your friends, don’t do it. It will be a long time before cooperative or multiplayer elements make their way into the game (if they ever get into Phantom Brigade at all).
