How to Get More Mechs in Phantom Brigade

In this guide we will tell you how to make a new mech in Phantom Brigade. Make your squad bigger.

Phantom Brigade caught attention of mechs’ fans. The game attracted many players who want to lead their squads of big robots with ability to see the future. The game can be difficult at times, so basically it is better to have more units than less. In this guide we will tell you how to get more mechs.

Just wait. If you are asking this question, you are probably still in the first region. It is a big tutorial and it is impossible to build a new mech during it. You have to complete it.

After you conquer the first region, a workshop will open in your base. You will be able to build a new frame in it. Remember that it is something different than body parts. Of course you need them also to create a new mech.

You can also loot the frame. However to do that, you need to check the proper box when beginning the new game. It is in difficulty options and is unchecked by default. So if you did not do it, you must start the game once again in the case you want to enable this feature. Even if you turned this on, you have to be lucky and a hostile mech must be in a good shape. If obtaining the frame is possible, there will be a diamond icon next to the mech at the looting screen.

Note: It is possible to gain the frame in the first province (you can loot it). It is even possible to enter the workshop in the tutorial terrain as well before it unlocks officially (just press F5). So you can build one, too. Gathering parts is also not a problem. What is more, some missions states that they can be completed with as many as 3 or 4 mechs. Nevertheless, you can’t deploy 3 units in the first region. It is Phantom Brigade’s limitation, which is not stated clearly.

If you have Supplies and parts, you will be able to add more mechs to your army after the initial region. Of course don’t forget to assign the pilot to the machine. Also remember that missions limit the number of units.

What is more, basic base level restricts the maximum amount of mechs, which you can send to battle, to 3. Nevertheless, you will be able to upgrade that (F6), at the bottom of tech tree, look for Unit Bay section.
