Natural Disasters are about to hit – at least in Cities: Skylines

A new expansion for Cities: Skylines called Natural Disasters, will introduce various calamities to the game, challenging players with devastating and destructive disaster effects, and forcing them to face the nature in order to save their city.

If you ever wished that Cities: Skylines were more of a survival, Paradox Interactive has got you covered. A new expansion called Natural Disasters – landing this winter on PC – will impact the whole tactical experience, challenging you with calamitous catastrophes (such as earthquakes, massive fires, and even meteor strikes), and providing means to successfully overcome them. After all, a ruined city won’t rebuild itself, will it?

Among the features of this gruesome add-on you shall find not only a set of doomsday scenarios, but also “response measures”, including early warning systems, direct countermeasures (e.g. emergency choppers, evacuations, etc.), and a broadcast network used to spread information regarding the upcoming threats. You have to be ready to roll anytime, for neither a proficient weather forecaster nor any kind of early-warning system will be of much use should an atrocious, omnipotent mayor decide to unleash a new cataclysm upon their citizens. You’ll also be able to craft and share new scenarios in Steam Workshop, and hope that they’ll provide you with an adequate dose of sadistic pleasure.
