New Final Fantasy XVI Trailer is 272 Seconds of a Beautiful Fantasy World
A new trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI has been released today. This time it shows less gameplay and more story.
The latest installment of Final Fantasy is set to debut next summer on PlayStation 5 consoles and PCs. The developers have just released a new, rather long, four-minute trailer titled "Ambition." Thanks to it, we can learn a little more about the story told by this jRPG.
At the end of the trailer there are a few scenes of action-packed gameplay, but if you are unsatisfied, you can see more gameplay in the earlier trailer, called "Domination".. And below you can witness the ambitions of the inhabitants of Valisthea.
In addition to Final Fantasy XVI characters already introduced to us , such as Joshua and Clive, new characters appear in the "Ambition" trailer. One is Dion Lesage, prince of the Holy Empire of Sanbreque , loved by his people and soldiers. The other is Barnabas Tharmr, who "owes the lands he owns only to his own blade." Both men can count on magical assistance from their Eikons, who are Bahamut and Odin, respectively.
In addition, with the release of the new trailer, the game's director, Hiroshi Takai, commented briefly on its subject. Thanks to this, we know that the title is getting closer to completion, and we will soon get even more information about it.
"As work on the game nears completion, the team is focusing on final touches. [...] We know you're eager to see more, but for now, we hope this little glimpse into the world of Final Fantasy XVI will satisfy you and (naturally) keep you speculating on what we will reveal next."
