New survival strategy about building a city in a post-apocalyptic world learned a lot from Ceasar 3 and Frostpunk

City builder fans can start getting ready for a new game from Tense Games. Next year, Seabed Settlers will launch, taking us underwater. The game is inspired by such classic works as Caesar III, Pharaoh, or the Anno series, and in some elements, it may also resemble Frostpunk.

The action of the upcoming game will be set in a world where a radioactive bomb has exploded. Because of the high radiation, the survivors have to escape to the bottom of the sea and use the available technology to fight for survival and rebuild civilization from scratch.

As managers, we will have to take care of the community, providing it with food, safety, shelter, and necessary resources. To make it happen, we'll need to create and connect oxygen tanks, medical facilities, and places where valuable resources are mined.

Although in terms of survival, Seabed Settlers will resemble Frostpunk, when it comes to settlement development, it will be more similar to Caesar III - the settlements will have three levels of progress. The more developed the area, the more people will inhabit it, thereby forcing the player to expand the infrastructure.

Our actions and completion of assigned tasks will be monitored by the so-called high regent. He will assess whether we have fulfilled our duties well. If not, we will receive the appropriate punishment.

Seabed Settlers doesn't yet have a specific release date. It's only known that the game will be released on Steam in the first quarter of 2026.
