Update - game length

We found out how long the game will be. In an interview with PLAY, chief level designer Kevin Pinson revealed that the a playthrough in A Plague Tale: Requiem should take about 15-18 hours.

At the same time, the developer assured that the campaign is devoid of the typical empty content extending the length of the gameplay. The dozen or so hours are to be filled with top-quality fun and unique challenges.

In comparison, according to estimates of How Long to Beat, completing the campaign in A Plague Tale: Innocence took about 10.5 - 12.5 hours, depending on how many side quests we completed. On the other hand, completing the game in 100% was a 16-hour task.

Original message (September 23, 2022)

Four more weeks separate us from the release of A Plague Tale: Requiem, an action adventure game that is a sequel to the popular A Plague Tale: Innocence from 2019. The wait for the sequel's debut can be made more pleasant by new video footage from the project.

Alchemy

The most interesting video is the one showing the alchemy/crafting system in action, enabling us to create useful items such as incendiary projectiles, tar to facilitate the spread of fire or a decoy to attract rats. A substance that extinguishes fires and provides smoke that can obscure us from the sight of enemies will also be available.

Sneaking

It is worth mentioning, by the way, the footage released last week showing stealth mechanics in A Plague Tale: Requiem.
