Work has begun on the Harry Potter series from HBO Max, and fans are want to find more behind-the-scenes information. For now, we've learned that the production is planned so that there will be one season per book, and we've learned some of the cast, including the three actors who will play the main characters – Harry, Hermione and Ron.

HP fans, however, have also been keeping an eye on any unofficial mentions that could be related to the production and reveal more about it. Recently, they tracked down a casting that indicates that the Harry Potter series may feature a character that was missing from the films – Professor Silvanus Kettleburn.

And now another announcement has caught their attention from the same talent agency, which may be looking for another actor for the series. They are looking for a barber to play a featured background artist in a major worldwide TV series. The shoot would take place at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Watford, which is where the Harry Potter series will be filmed.

The suggested shooting period also coincides with when work is rumored to begin on the series' set. The aforementioned barber would be needed on the set on July 30, and fans believe that shooting will start somewhere in late July due to the fact that John Lithgow mentioned that he would be stepping on the set in early August.

There is another, most important reason why exactly Barber was linked to Harry Potter – as this is to be a more faithful adaptation, fans are hoping for more scenes of the young wizard's life among muggles. In the second chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, it was mentioned how „once, Aunt Petunia, tired of Harry coming back from the barber’s looking as thought he hadn’t been at all, had taken a pair of kitchen scissors and cut his hair so short he was almost bald except for his fringe, which she left ‘to hide that horrible scar.’ […] Next morning, however, he had got up to find his hair exactly as it had been before Aunt Petunia had sheared it off.” So fans of the series believe that the TV show creators may want to include Harry's visit to the barber and show how the boy unknowingly used magic to make his hair grow back at an inhuman rate.

It is worth noting, however, that there is another production that this announcement may refer to – House of the Dragon, which is also being filmed at the aforementioned studio. This option also seems highly likely, given that the requirements state that a long-haired man is wanted, who should not have sleeve tattoos. The requirement for long hair in HP seems all too specific, for it would even fit perfectly with the realities of HOTD.

This may be some artistic direction, however, and the search for a barber for Harry Potter doesn’t seem implausible, given that the creators are aiming for a more faithful adaptation and may want to use the source material as much as possible.
