Remember Paragon, a game released by Epic Games in 2016 and then canceled after several years? The game is coming back to life, reborn as two new titles - Paragon: The Overprime and Predecessor. In this article we will explain what the differences are between these two titles.
The issue is somewhat coimplicated, so it is worth explaining what happened from the beginning. In 2016 Epic Games released a game called Paragon. Despite the fact that the two games are from the same universe and use the same characters, you can find significant differences. These include:
Both titles draw heavily from the canceled Paragon. However, the developers add many interesting solutions that affect the feeling of the game. This also makes the titles different from each other.
Predecessor appears to be a a traditional MOBA game, with a slower pace and a greater focus on farming rather than fighting other players.
In contrast, in Paragon: The Overprime the map is smaller, the pace of gameplay faster, so you can feel that killing players is much more important than farming or pushing lanes.
We did not compare the size of the community/active players on the servers, since Predecessor is a paid game, while Paragon: The Overprime an F2P game. This influences that players are more likely to try a free-to-play game.
