Play Skyrim Special Edition for free this weekend

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is free this weekend for PC and Xbox One. Of course, one weekend is not enough to get everything you can out of this game, so you may want to consider purchasing it at a 50% discount.

How much you can get out of Skyrim and all its add-ons over one weekend? Even if you play 24 hours a day, there will still be a lot of ground left untouched, because the game is just that huge. Still, it is worth trying, because The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is free to play this weekend on Steam and Xbox One – the latter requires Xbox Live Gold membership.

And if you decide that you want to continue the adventure beyond this Sunday, you can currently purchase the game at a 50% discount on Steam, for $19.99 until September 19. Skyrim is also on sale for Xbox – this version costs $30 instead of $59.99 until September 18.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition is a collective release of both the original game and all three of its add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn, plus enhanced visuals. Together they offer over a hundred of hours of gameplay across a vast open fantasy world. If you haven’t done this yet, it’s definitely worth giving it a try.
