Players are now sure about next expansion for CK3. Photo of exam room led them to the solution of the puzzle
Paradox teases the next chapter of Crusader Kings 3, and possibly confirms the addition of long-awaited content (though also causing concern among fans).

Crusader Kings 3 may take players to China in the 4th chapter of this popular strategy game. At least that's what players think after the recent teasers from the Paradox Development Studio team.
Fans of this "crusade" game have been looking forward to the addition of China for a long time. Read: since the release, they complained that it isn't in the game. Some players noted that incorporating China in the new installment wouldn't make sense if it were merely a significant challenge or function on the same principles as European powers.
Nevertheless, some of them expressed hope that the new mechanics related to Byzantium in the Roads to Power expansion could provide a basis for a potential Chinese update. Clearly, Paradox was of the same opinion.
Chinese exam in CK3?
On March 5, the official Crusader Kings series account on X posted a teaser of the 4th chapter of CK 3: an incomplete graphic of a book with spots. Which devs filled in the following days, and it quickly became clear that the next expansion to Crusader Kings 3 will be inspired by Asia, perhaps even its eastern regions.
Soon, people began pointing out "evidence" that China would be part of the bundle, though some of it was a bit contrived. Only yesterday's graphics update convinced players that Chinese content is heading to Crusader Kings 3.
The evidence for this is supposed to be the "stain" in the upper left corner of the book visible in the graphic provided by Paradox. As indicated by internet users, it shows a Chinese examination hall where tests were conducted for potential state officials.
For players, this serves as sufficient confirmation of the DLC from China, along with mechanics tied to civil service exams. Soon, game fans also began to speculate about the management system and other new features that the Chinese add-on could introduce. Nevertheless, concerns have also arisen about the scale and quality of such an expansion of the gameplay, particularly in the context of complaints about the "inconsistency" of the game following the release of too many expansions.
For now, Paradox hasn't confirmed the players' assumptions, but we probably won't have to wait long for the official announcement of the 4th chapter of Crusader Kings 3.
