Devolver Does It Again; Presentation of These 4 Games Will be Remembered

Devolver Digital traditionally did not disappoint, making a presentation that showed four promising titles in addition to absurd scenes.

Yesterday all the gamers were mainly excited about the Summer Game Fest. However, this was not the only scheduled presentation. Devolver Digital also held its event. Just like in 2022 the publisher prepared a completely twisted material. This time it revolved around a weird character named Volva, who has allegedly been the company's globally recognized mascot for decades. However, the team did not forget to show four real projects.

Recording of Devolver Digital's presentation

Wizard with a Gun - trailer and demo

During the event, a new trailer was shown for Wizard with a Gun, an isometric action game enriched with roguelike and survival elements.

  1. The studio responsible for the project is Galvanic Games, known for Some Distant Memory and Gurgamoth.
  2. The game is headed for PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
  3. The release will take place this year.
  4. A demo version of the game.

The Talos Principle 2 - gameplay trailer

Devolver also showed a new trailer for the first-person puzzle game The Talos Principle 2. Unlike the previous trailer, this footage includes gameplay footage.

  1. The game is heading for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S.
  2. The release is expected later this year.

Baby Steps - announcement of a crazy game

Also announced at the presentation was a new puzzle game titled Baby Steps. In it, we will play as a 35-year-old unemployed loser who lives in his parents' basement. He will be transported to a magical land, where he will have to face the lack of normal walking abilities. The gameplay will focus on controlling his legs, which will be implemented in a heavily awkward way, so that our character will fall over every now and then and comically hurt himself.

It sounds ridiculous, but it's a game from author of, among others, Getting over it with Bennett Foddy, in which also bizarre controls led to surprisingly enjoyable and very funny gameplay.

  1. The game is headed for PC and PlayStation 5.
  2. The release will take place next year.

Bennett Foddy is not the only developer working on the project. The team also includes Gabe Cuzzillo and Matt Boch, the creators of Ape Out.

Human Fall Flat 2 - game presentation

The latest novelty revealed by Devolver turned out to be Human Fall Flat 2, which is a continuation of the popular puzzle game from 2016.

  1. The game is headed for PC and as yet unspecified consoles.
  2. The devs are not ready to reveal the release date.
  3. We are expected to learn more details about the project later this year.
