According to the data presented PlayStation Network generated more than $14 billion in revenue in 2021. This is an increase of more than 6 billion compared to 2017.

The money comes mainly from sales of games and DLCs on the PlayStation Store, microtransactions, and PlayStation Plus subscriptions. The revenue was made up of spendings of more than 100 million users who have a PSN account.

The company also admitted that it intends to squeeze even more from its service. The way to achieve this is to be the announced development of the PS Plus service.
