PUBG Mobile Devs Have No Chill; Over 2 Million Cheaters Banned

Battle royale PUBG Mobile is very popular among the gamers. Unfortunately, being a cheater is equally popular in online games, although their numbers dropped significantly in mid-December.

Since December 9, PUBG Mobile has been hosting a winter festival, during which players have access to a new themed map and special costumes. However, such attractions also attract crowds of cheaters. On the game's official Twitter account, it was reported that between December 11 and 17, over 2 million cheaters were banned. This is not the first such situation - creators regularly block a large number of accounts. Suffice it to mention that a week earlier a large wave of cheaters was also banned (almost 1.5 million).

Here are the ranks that were achieved on banned accounts.

Detailed data was shared on PUBG Mobile's profile. The cheaters banned by the devs used, among other things, auto targeting (15% of all banned players), wallhack called X-Ray Vision, enablingthem to see through obstacles (18%) and modifications of damage area (12%) or character model (as much as 31%). As far as ranks are concerned, the most affected players were bronze (22%), diamond (17%) and platinum (15%) and the least affected group were players of highest ranks (only 2%). Cheats, which were used most often by players in PUBG Mobile.

Cheaters that make virtual life miserable for honest players are a constant problem in online games. It's hard to get rid of them completely, but it's a good thing that game developers are not idle and regularly ban accounts where unauthorized "assistance" is used. PUBG Mobile is not an exception, but despite the accumulation of cheaters, there is no shortage of those interested in battle royale formula. The game still makes a lot of money.
