In this guide we will talk about race transformation spells in AoW4. You can change your faction completely, become an angel, undead or demon.
Age of Wonders 4 is the newest installment in the well-liked turn-based strategy game series. You have the option to choose from different pre-set factions or create your own country from the beginning. The game takes you on an adventure to conquer fantastical worlds inhabited by dangerous creatures and let you use many spells. Among them are transformation spells, which can change your race. We talk about them in this guide.
Transformation spells are very powerful, they give additional traits to your people. Of course, as in the case of other kinds of magic, you have to research proper tomes to cast them.
There are 2 types of this spell – minor and major. In the first case, you can cast as many of them, as you like. However, some are not compatible with each other (like Spawnkin and Supergrowth). In the case of major transformation spells, a race can have only one at a time, so think about it carefully.
To research tomes you need affinity. To get it, you need to pick proper traits when creating your own faction and carefully choose tomes (they give you affinity, too).
