Fans of railways and tycoons have something to be excited about. Rail Route will appear in early access on Steam in June.
The debut game of the two-person Czech studio Bitrich.info will soon launch in early access on Steam. We will be able to play the game on June 23. Rail Route enables us to play as a railway dispatcher, who must take care of sufficient efficiency of communication lines and deal with many random or planned obstacles.
The game is a specific combination of a classic tycoon (economic strategy game) with a puzzle game. The players will have to understand the network of railway connections and consider the speed of trains and dependencies between individual communication lines. They will also have to manage the infrastructure, departure, and arrival times and create new connections. All this to create the most efficient railway possible.
Along with the development of our communication lines the game will enable us to unlock new technologies and automation mechanisms. We'll also be able to improve the existing infrastructure so that its operation is as close to optimal as possible. The game will offer two different modes - casual, in which we'll be able to play endlessly, and scenarios that will put us before the problems planned by the developers. The players who are looking for as much freedom as possible will be able to play with the help of the map editor.
Rail Route will appear in Early Access in June, but before that, we'll be able to see the demo version, which will be available on Valve's store beginning with May 12. The game will also be presented during the upcoming Steam Next Festival, which will last from 16 to 22 June.
