Rainbow Six: Extraction Delayed For the Second Time

Ubisoft announced that the release of Rainbow Six: Extraction has been delayed to next year. However, we will not be waiting much longer than expected. Also the release of Riders Republic was delayed - the title will launch almost two months later.

We have unpleasant news for all fans of co-op online shooters who have been waiting for the September release of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction. Today Ubisoft announced that title will be delayed and will launch next year - in January. So fortunately we will not have to wait too long.

In the official announcement the French devs explained that they want to provide fans with "a full-fledged AAA experience that will change their approach to co-op games". In support of the promise, the developers cite unique features like Missing in Action and The Sprawl - thanks to which every mission in Rainbow Six: Extraction will be "tense and challenging".

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction won't be the only title in Ubisoft's catalogue to come out later than expected. Riders Republic, a sports game dedicated to extreme sports, also suffered a "slip". In this case, the delay is smaller - the title was to be released on September 2, and will come out on October 28.

On the one hand, we should be glad that Ubisoft polishes the games, because thanks to this there is a chance that they will not be as "buggy" as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. On the other hand, we have no guarantee that they will not come out in poor condition. Fans of Rainbow Six should be particularly worried, as the release of Extraction (previously known as Quarantine) has been delayed for the second time, which may be a harbinger of considerable development problems.
