Rainbow Six: Extraction on New Gameplay; Post-release Support Announced

An interesting video of Rainbow Six: Extraction has hit the web, showing what the game will offer. It also reveals the development plans for the game after its release.

Ubisoft released a new video from Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction, a spin-off of the popular tactical shooter game series. The video is noteworthy as it discusses what the production will offer.

At the time of release, we will be able to control 18 unique operators to complete 13 types of missions on 12 constantly changing maps. In the competition we'll use 25 gadgets and over 65 weapons and face 13 archetypes of enemies.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction will be focused on PvE gameplay. We'll face the game's AI solo or in three-player co-op. Maps are to have many elements that will change from match to match - including the objectives, types and location of enemies or various modifiers. It's supposed to make missions replayable many times without feeling bored. During the game we'll visit San Francisco, New Mexico, Alaska and New York. All levels will be at least three times larger than most maps in Rainbow Six: Siege.

Each of the 18 operators available in the game is to have unique skills, progression paths and gear customization options. In total, it will be possible to create more than eight hundred combinations within a single squad. Also, each of the 13 enemy archetypes will have unpredictable mutations. The most dangerous opponents will be the so-called Proteans. They are parasites that mimic the DNA of operators.

The devs promise that after the release the game will be intensively expanded with new, free content. Various events, additional characters and numerous rewards are planned. There are also plans to add a ranked mode.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction is coming to Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, as well as Google Stadia. The game will be released in January 2022.
