Rainbow Six: Siege to get a new DLC and anti-cheat system

Rainbow Six: Siege - Skull Rain DLC is soon going to introduce a new map, two operators, and a game mode. There is also a new anti-cheat system, which is now being tested.

Rainbow Six: Siege is going to get a new free expansion called Skull Rain on August 2, 2016. The DLC will bring a new map – Favela, set in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, as well as two new operators to be purchased with in-game credits (they are offered seven days early for Season Pass holders): defensive Caveira, able to sneak up to enemies and interrogate them, and a new attacker Capitao, equipped with a tactical crossbow.

There will also be a new Tactical Realism mode, in which some helpful aids and HUD elements will be removed to make overall gameplay more realistic. Find out more details on the map as well as the operators and the new mod from Ubisoft’s blog.

Beside the fresh content, Rainbow Six: Siege developers are brewing up another anti-cheat system, called BattleEye. This will be a client-side application that will complement the existing FairFight. It’s job will be to detect cases of using known cheats and prevent the game from running. The system is first going to be beta-tested for several weeks and when it’s all out, players who get kicked from the game will get a notification. For more details head over to BattleEye FAQ.
