  3. In addition, anisotropic filtering has been increased to 16x.

  5. Alternatively, players can also activate Nvidia's FXAA edge smoothing technology.

Previous message

In a few hours, Red Dead Redemption, the classic open-world western developed by Rockstar Games, will hit new hardware platforms .

  1. The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch editions will debut on the market. Unfortunately, PC gamers won't be so lucky.
  2. The PS4 edition is available on PlayStation Store.
  3. The Nintendo Switch version was unlocked at the same time.
  4. The port will include not only the basic version of the game, but also the Undead Nightmare expansion.

Controversial port

Red Dead Redemption, which will hit PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch today, is only a port, and not a remaster. Therefore, we should not expect any significant improvements in graphics or gameplay. This is probably why the game will not come to the Xbox One, as owners of this console can play the original from the X360 thanks to backward compatibility.

The fact that it is merely a port, combined with the high price has upset many gamers. The head of Take-Two Interactive counters their accusations, claiming that $50 is an accurate price, especially considering that a DLC will be included in the bundle.
