Yesterday, we got the first trailer for Battlefield 6. After the not-so-successful Battlefield 2042, fans of the series are clearly thirsty for a new installment and hope that this time, DICE studio won't disappoint them. So, it's worth taking a closer look at the initial reactions to the release of the production.

Caution above all

The general reception from fans is mostly positive, but players still don't fully believe in the new Battlefield. The trailer is filled with explosions and spectacular scenes, but it doesn't really show the actual gameplay. This means that it's hard to assess how the game will look in action - unless you've been following previous leaks from Battlefield Labs.

So it's not surprising that players are cooling down their emotions and warning against falling into the so-called "hype train," keeping in mind the disappointment of Battlefield 2042. Many of them recommend holding back enthusiasm at least until July 31, when the presentation of the multiplayer mode is scheduled.

In short: we are waiting until July 31st.

It looks good... but the first trailer for 2042 also looked good. Hold back your wallets until we learn more.

Remember, no preorders.

In the comments, many people also express hope that DICE will, this time, create a title more reminiscent of the older installments of the series. They basically showed disapproval for the "unrealistic" elements, like the ridiculously colorful Fortnite-style skins, which were criticized in the competing Call of Duty.

No clown skins, let's be down to earth, DICE please.

DICE, please. Let this game remain a realistic, down-to-earth military shooter. Similar to Battlefield 1, BC2, 3, and 4.

Even though the trailer didn't show any gameplay, it did give us a glimpse of the upcoming campaign's storyline. The story mode was absent in Battlefield 2042, so it's no wonder that many people are eagerly awaiting it. Some believe that it looks intriguing, comparing its atmosphere to the movie Civil War.

A 2-3 minute pre-release film set the tone and built tension perfectly. I am now intrigued by this campaign.

The president's speech definitely had a vibe similar to that of a Civil War movie. Wasn't there a story that this movie was an inspiration for the single-player mode?

The official release date for Battlefield 6 hasn't been announced yet, but leaked materials suggest that the game will launch on October 10th for PC, PS5, and XSX/S consoles. The date was confirmed (apparently by accident) by Electronic Arts, but the information on this subject is no longer available.
