The weekend has officially begun, and that means it's time for another round of the Buzzwords challenge in Cookie Jam (it brings to mind Wordle, here’s hint for July 25). We never quite know what the new hints will look like, and this time, it’s safe to say we’re kicking things off with a real head-scratcher. If you’re trying to solve “Springboard, platform, synchronized,” here’s a little help to get you started.
This one was particularly tricky, as the clue could have pointed to several possible answers. However, after narrowing it down and considering the best match, the correct one is:
At first, I thought the answer might be “swim.” It fits the given letters and is also a four-letter word. However, everything from the clue is much more closely tied to the sport of diving, making “dive” the more accurate choice.
Springboard refers to the flexible, bouncing board used in events like springboard diving, where athletes use the board's recoil to gain height before executing their dive. Platform, on the other hand, describes the solid, unmoving surface used in platform diving, a separate discipline where divers leap from fixed heights.
Finally, synchronized relates to synchronized diving, a competitive event in which two divers perform their routines simultaneously, aiming to mirror each other’s movements perfectly in timing, technique, and form.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
