Resident Evil Showcase Will Reveal Gameplay From RE Village

Capcom has announced an event called Resident Evil Showcase that will reveal a ton of information about the upcoming Resident Evil Village. A beta of a mysterious project set in the same universe is also planned.

Capcom's Resident Evil is well known to horror fans from games, movies and comics. Today, fans of the dark universe have reason to rejoice - Capcom announced that an event called the Resident Evil Showcase will provide a wealth of information on the highly anticipated eighth installment of Resident Evil, subtitled Village, heading to PC, PS5 and XSX.

During the event, which will take place on January 21 at 2:00 PM PT, the audience will have a chance to watch not only the game's launch trailer, but also some gameplay footage. In addition, the organizers promise to reveal other information about the Resident Evil series, which so far remain a secret.

In the game, we will once again control Ethan Winters, known from RE VII.

However, not only Resident Evil Village will be the subject of the Showcase. For some time now, we can sign up for the beta of a mysterious Capcom project, about which we know only that it will be a multiplayer game for 4-6 players. We're supposed to learn more during the Showcase. The beta will be available on PS4 and Xbox One (although it will be possible to play it on PS5 and XSX as well), and the sign-up period lasts until January 25.

To sign up for the beta, you'll need to have a Capcom ID linked to the Resident Evil Ambassador program, be of legal age and meet technical prerequisites such as console ownership and network access. However, even this does not guarantee participation - the lucky winners will be drawn from among all applicants, but chances depend on your rank in the Resident Evil Ambassador program. The rank of Silver doubles the chances of participation, Gold multiplies times five, and Platinum times ten.

Recall that the Resident Evil Ambassador program is not a premium subscription, but rather a contract with the brand, made by online content creators who agree to publish information about RE on their channels. In return, they get access to exclusive content and events - a beta of an unannounced project is one of them.
