Riot Games admitted a communication error and apologized for last year's tweet, in which the company's CEO stated that in Valorant we will not eliminate our opponents using skills.

In October 2019, Riot Games' CEO Nicolo Laurent informed via his Twitter account that in Valorant (still known as Project A at the time), the player's shooting skills will be what matter and we won't kill using abilities.
However, it soon came to light that Riot Games has deviated from its path, and characters who can quickly eliminate enemies with a single skill (e.g. Raze and the recently introduced Killjoy) appeared in the game. A few days ago, an article in which developers answered questions asked by players admitted that there was a communication error and some inaccuracies.
Ryan "Morello" Scott has pointed out that in Valorant, the basic tactics are most important, and skills should create threat, although this does not mean that we can't get rid of your opponents with them. Riot's representative apologized for the confusion and pointed out that he was not intending to mislead anyone.
