Fan community of Counter-Strike is currently playing mainly CSGO and is eagerly awaiting the release of Counter-Strike 2. However, there are also players who don't even think about abandoning good old CS 1.6. They can be very creative, which has resulted in many interesting mods. One of them transforms this shooter into a clone of Rocket League.

  1. The mod is not new, as it was released several years ago. Now, however, it has become famous due to streamer Johanzilla, specializing in Rocket League.
  2. The streamer was surprised to discover a CS 1.6 server with a Rocket League mod. The video he prepared has already been watched on Twitter by more than 4.5 million people.
  3. The full recording of the broadcast, containing much more gameplay from the mod can be found on Twitch. Fragment with the Rocket League mod begins at 1:12:35.
  4. If you want to play the mod yourself, all you have to do is search for server names containing ROCKET LEAGUE in their name.

Recall that Counter-Strike 1.6 is the original rendering of this brand. It began life in 1999 as a mod for the first Half-Life. The success of the modification led its creators to be hired by Valve, which at the same time took over the rights to the entire brand. As a result, a standalone commercial version of the project was released in 2000.

Despite being more than two decades old CS 1.6 still has a devoted fan base. Yesterday on Steam, at the hottest time of the day, the game was played by 11,489 people simultaneously, a result that could make many modern shooters envy this oldie.
