Players seem to enjoy the survival genre quite a lot. It is obvious when we look at the amount of games and their popularity. Many of them are quite similar to each other. So, it is even better when the premise of the title is interesting. While in numerous productions you have to eat and drink to stay alive, Serum offers something else – the titular green mixture. It is the substance which you have to take if you want to live. The game will be released on 23 May on PC (Steam) in early access. Of course, some players wonder about a console port. Is it possible? Let’s find out.

Serum – Console (Xbox, PS4, PS5) Release Explained

The console port has been not announced yet, but it is not impossible. On the official Discord server, we may find information regarding platforms. In the FAQ we can read that:

Q: What platforms will Serum be available on?

A: The game is set to release on PC, but a console edition may be available in the future

As you can see, developers do not reject the idea. Probably, they will go back to this issue once the game will be in its version 1.0 or farther in the development. However, it will take awhile to reach that point. Probably, the final word in this subject will depend on the demand and popularity of the title during early access. So, if you would like Serum to appear on consoles, you should leave a comment on Steam or Discord.

Remember that games in EA rarely are ported to consoles. Such titles are in most cases polished on PC, and later they get PlayStation and Xbox versions. So, you have to be patient. On the Steam page, there is information regarding how long early access will last – around 12 months.
