Shadow Warrior 2 gets a release date and a new trailer

A remake of the classic Shadow Warrior is soon to get a sequel. Shadow Warrior 2 has been announced to hit the PC on October 2016. However, the console versions aren't coming until early 2017.

Shadow Warrior 2, the upcoming sequel to the successful remake of a cult classic action first-person melee/shooter, has been announced to hit PC on October 13, 2016, whereas the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are going to follow in early 2017. If you pre-order the game on Steam or GOG.com you will receive a 10% discount (it’s currently at $35.99) plus the exclusive in-game weapon Razorback Chainsaw Katana. Alongside revealing the release date, the global publisher, Devolver Digital, shared a showy new trailer:

Shadow Warrior 2 is a work by Flying Wild Hog, Polish studio that previously brought us the 2014 Shadow Warrior as well as the cyberpunk shooter Hard Reset. The game expands on the proven FPS mechanics and follows the adventures of Lo Wang, a mercenary operating in a world consumed by war between humans and demons. The protagonist has to fight hellish adversaries with guns, blades and magic either alone or in 4-player online co-op. Other noteworthy features are: procedural environments, brutal damage system based on precision blade strikes, and custom upgrades.
