IN A NUTSHELL:
- The Sims 4 received a new DLC - Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack;
- The expansion focuses on knitting, and features a reference to a little-known Finnish competition that combines this hobby with heavy metal.
Today, The Sims 4 received a new DLC - Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack, which offers a number of new items related to, that's right, knitting. These include such things as clothes (sweaters, hats, etc.), hairstyles and furniture (e.g. the indispensable rocking chair). One of the novelties is quite surprising - we received a heavymetal radio station, which at first glance has little to do with the aforementioned hobby. It turns out that it is a reference to a little-known Finnish competition, which combines heavy music with a passion for knitting (via Gamerant).
The event is called the Heavy Metal Knitting Championship and is exactly what we can expect - the teams taking part in this madness are simultaneously playing heavy metal music and working on a new cap for the first-born of one of he group's members (or anything else for anyone else - as long as it's made of yarn). If this seems strange to you, then... we agree. Anyway, we recommend watching the video posted below - it's certainly one of the weirder (and more fun) things you'll see today.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On Origin, Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack is priced at $9.99.
