Sons of the Forest Overtakes Starfield and Becomes Most Wanted Game on Steam

Sons of the Forest, the sequel to The Forest released in 2018, is the most demanded game on Steam. Endnight Games' upcoming work has knocked the previous leader, Starfield, off its throne.

There are several big games coming to the market in 2023. One of them is the highly anticipated Starfield from Bethesda, commonly referred to as "Skyrim in space." With such a legacy to live up to, it's hardly surprising that the upcoming game has been high on the list of most-coveted games on Steam for many months, and for a while it was even at the very top. However, the AAA game, which had been in development for several years now, finally had to recognize the superiority of another title.

Starfield was defeated by a game from a developer with far fewer resources - not to mention a lower marketing budget - than Bethesda. The new leader of the list of titles most frequently added to the wishlists on Valve's platform is Sons of the Forest, the survival horror game from Endnight, which will hit early access on February 23. At the time of writing this news, the game is wished for by 187,986 players, while Starfield apears on the lists of 183,004 Steam users.

Recall that the full version of Sons of the Forest will hit the market in about 6-8 months, although the developers mention that this period may be extend, if necessary. At the time of its debut in Early Access, the game will offer a single player mode or cooperative multiplayer for up to eight people. Sons of the Forest will be available (at least for now) only on PC.
