Sony May Buy Devs of Demon's Souls Remake
There have been rumors on the web suggesting that Sony is preparing to acquire Bluepoint Games, the developers of Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus remakes.
Sony may be planning to acquire the American studio Bluepoint Games, the team responsible for Demon's Souls remake. Such information was provided by ResetEra forum user MarsipanRumpan, who cites a source associated with the development team.
Of course, until the report is officially confirmed, it should be approached with caution. MarsipanRumpan stresses that his second source in the studio refused any comment in this matter. This may suggest that the information is false, but the negotiations may also be in the final stage and the team member does not want to be compromised.
It is interesting to note that MarsipanRumpan's source also provided concrete reasons why both companies are striving for the agreement. Bluepoint Games is known for creating excellent remakes, but the team would also like to develop a new IP and the contract with Sony is to guarantee it.
