Star Citizen - Ship Showdown 2022 Info and Schedule

We are only 5 days away from the start of the Ship Showdown 2952 event in Star Citizen. This is a unique event where the community will have the opportunity to choose the best ship in the game, and win some valuable prizes in the process. It's also a great time to share your creativity related to Cloud Imperium Games' production.

Ship Showdown 2952 - event schedule

Ship Showdown is an annual event consisting of a popularity contest of ships and vehicles available in the game. The event is divided into several stages, during which first players will be able to submit their candidates for the best machine in Star Citizen and then participate in voting to determine the winner.

Below you will find information on the various stages of Ship Showdown.

1. Community Call - the first stage of the event, which will begin on August 15 and run for two weeks, until August 29. During this time, players are encouraged to submit their candidates for participation. The community can do so by presenting interesting projects related to ta particular machine, such as models, drawings, constructions, tattoos, recordings and whatever else comes to their mind. They will be posted, as every year, in the Community Hub. In addition, the authors of particularly impressive projects can look forward to prizes.
2. Live Showdown - second stage of the event will last from August 31 to September 14. At this point, the developers will present 16 machines that gained the greatest community support. Over the course of two weeks, the developers will organize "duels" between selected ships and vehicles. In turn, fans will be able to vote for their favorites, and the winning machines will move on to the next stages. After two rounds have been played, the semifinals and the final, the winner of the Ship Showdown will be determined.
3. The crowning of the winner - the last event will take place on September 15. Owners of machines that made it to the semifinals can count on prizes. In addition, the developers will then most likely announce special additional content related to the winning machine, which will make its way into the game over time.
