Star Trek Resurgence Trailer Surprised at TGA

The Game Awards gala was the venue for the announcement of Star Trek: Resurgence, an adventure game created by former Telltale Games employees.

One of the pleasant surprises of this year's edition of The Game Awards turned out to be the announcement of Star Trek: Resurgence, a narrative adventure game set in the popular sci-fi universe.

Dramatic Labs, a studio founded by former Telltale Games employees, is responsible for the project, which gives a good idea of how the gameplay will look like in Star Trek: Resurgence. The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, and will be released in Spring 2022. The PC release will be sold exclusively on Epic Games Store.

Star Trek: Resurgence is being developed on Unreal Engine. The action of the game will be set shortly after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation and the movie Star Trek: Nemesis. The game tells the story of the crew of a spaceship U.S.S. RESOLUTE. During the game we will take control over two characters - officer Jara Rydek and engineer Carter Diaz, who together will have to solve a mystery that may lead to a war of alien civilizations.

Star Trek: Resurgence will be a narrative adventure game, being a development of ideas from the Telltale's game. The game will boil down to exploration, conversations and making decisions. Our choices and conversations will shape the course of the whole story to a large extent.
