Stardew Valley is a true phenomenon, boasting exemplary support from its developer - and fans are thrilled about it. This is manifested, for example, in the fact that every post published by Eric Barone, more widely known as ConcernedApe, is met with great interest. Recently, the usually silent Ape has been publishing more and more information on Stardew Valley. His latest post has been viewed nearly 2 million times in a dozen hours and has raised quite a few questions.. Could it be that an update to the iconic game is about to come out?

Post without comment raised a lot of questions

On his profile on X (Twitter) ConcernedApe posted a graphic, showing a golden parrot on a blue object with the letter J. In the background is an ocean (or sea), and sand can be seen all around. Interestingly, the creator attached no description to the image. Players promptly began to look for a hidden meaning and linked the letter J to JojaMart, a greedy corporation known from the game. There were also theories that Joja would start building its headquarters on Ginger Island, which could mean that the corporation is expanding even further. From the comments under the post, it seems that gamers would not be happy with such a turn of events.

Social media activity

It is worth noting that the developer, who is known for very rarely sharing information about his game, has become more active on social media as of late. He recently announced that he had created an avatar frame, purchasable for Steam points, and even earlier, he boasted that he has been publishing his music for 10 years on Bandcamp and it can be listened to for free. He also revealed that he also has a secret profile on the aforementioned service, which he may "reveal in 10 years."

Such activity may (or may not) mean that the expected update 1.6 is on its way, and the creator is hyping it up with his posts. Is it really so? Here's to hoping.

It's also worth remembering that Eric Barone is also working on Haunted Chocolatier, and he recently published a post which suggests that the two productions will be related in surprising ways.
