Super Animal Royale Comes to PS5 and Switch Later This Year

After spending a few years in Steam Early Access, the cartoonish shooter, Super Animal Royale, is finally coming to consoles later this year. In this free-to-play battle royale, you must defeat 64 other animal combatants to reach the top of the food chain.

Who could have guessed that an adorable battle royale game full of gun-toting and sword-swinging animals would become popular? The free-to-play cartoonish battle royale, Super Animal Royale, has gotten overwhelmingly positive reviews from over thirteen thousand people on Steam Early Access over the last few years, and now it’s finally making its way to consoles.

Just like any other battle royale style game, it all comes down to the last one standing. Sixty-four animals compete, but only one can be victorious. You’ll have to explore to find various tools like the giant hamster ball, banana peels, and grenades to take out your opponents. Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll even find a majestic emu steed.

The battle takes place in the abandoned Super Animal World theme park, which is where these extraordinary animals were created. The park has been abandoned by humans after the super animals used their intelligence (and maybe some guns) to overthrow their captors.

Form a team of up to four, or play on your own and see if you can come out on top. Just watch out for the super skunk gas that slowly shrinks the playing field. You can play as a cat, a fox, a panda, and plenty of other super animal options, you can even design your own super animal breed using the advanced technology left behind by the humans.

The game is available for free now both on Steam, and as part of Xbox Game Preview, but will be arriving on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia later this year.

Are you excited to get your hands on this animal battle royale? What system are you looking forward to playing on? Leave a comment to let us know!
