Version 1.0 of Teardown has launched, as we reported. Already in early access the game was appreciated for the imaginative approach to gameplay and the ability to complete tasks in multiple ways, but only after leaving early access the title was flooded with positive reviews. Currently (as of April 22, 2022) as many as 96% of Steamplayers have positively evaluated Teardown. In the game we perform a variety of tasks, boiling down to theft. One of the obstacles standing in the player's way are alarms, which activate at various times, for example, after breaking the cable connecting the sensor to the car. Are there any ways to disble the alarms?
According to info revealed by the players the alarms cannot be disabled, because the time needed to escape is one of the pillars of the game. That is why at the beginning of the game it is worth to plan the burglary carefully and then determine the shortest escape route. This is important, because after activating the alarm we have only 60 seconds to leave the area.
In Teardown we play as a thief, and therefore basically a crook. As part of a fuller immersion ourselves, we can resort to a small cheat and change a certain line in one of the game files. To do this, we need to:
Warning! Before making changes in any file, it is worth to make a backup copy of it beforehand.
This way the alarm will still sound, but the time to escape will be infinite.
In case of tasks, in which we have to steal a car, it is worth using the blowtorch and use it to "cut" a small part of the car, to which the alarm cable is attached. This will enable us to leave the property without triggering the device.
In Teardown there are several types of alarms and each of them activates in a different situation.
