The Game Awards 2022 Date Revealed

The date for this year's The Game Awards event has been announced. A new award category has also been revealed.

The organizers announced the date for this year's edition of The Game Awards.

  1. The 2022 edition of The Game Awards event will be held on December 8.
  2. This year, the list of award categories will expand to include "Best Video Game Adaptation."
  3. Projects transferring games to new media will compete for the new statuette. This includes not only movies and TV series, but also podcasts, novels and comic books.

This year has been quite successful in terms of game adaptations. Projects such as the movie Uncharted, the Halo and Resident Evil: Remedy series or animated productions like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and DOTA: Dragon's Blood will compete for the award.

Of course, in the case of The Game Awards, awards themselves play a secondary role for most viewers. After all, the most anticipated part are the announcements of new games and trailers of highly anticipated projects. For example, in last year the event revealed, among others. Wonder Woman, Star Trek: Resurgence, Nightingale and Dune: Spice Wars. We also saw trailers for such titles as Homeworld 3, Evil West, Monster Hunter: Rise - Sunbreak or Dying Light 2. In addition, the transition of the popular shooter PUBG: Battlegrounds to F2P was announced. We hope this year's event will be just as prolific.
