HBO's The Last of Us has become such a hit that it is pulling up game sales.
The Last of Us TV from HBO, ta television adaptation of Naughty Dog's game, is so popular that it has led to a significant jump in sales of games in the series.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first such case of synergy of the world of TV shows and games. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has also benefited strongly from this - the premieres of Netflix adaptations of Andrzej Sapkowski's books caused jumps in sales and activity results of the third installment of CD Projekt's games. A similar effect in the case of Cyberpunk 2077 was brought by the debut of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Recall that The Last of Us: Part I, a remake of the game on which the first season of the series is based, was released on September 2, last year, for the PlayStation 5. A PC version is also scheduled to debut on March 3, this year.
