The Long Dark received big content update adding a new region
The Long Dark just got bigger thanks to Desolation Point update, featuring a new region, metal forging system, improved weather, and other changes.
The Long Dark received a large update called Desolation Point. This survival sandbox from Hinterland Studio game now features a new region – an abandoned whaling station, contrasting with the previously available wilderness areas. Besides, the developers enabled placing items manually at any valid location in the world, metal forging for making improvised tools, improved weather system, UI update, and more. The Long Dark has launched on PC as a Steam Early Access game in September 2014. Since then, the title has been receiving regular updates, gradually increasing its content. The full release is planned for later this year.
