The Spirit of the Samurai is a Beautiful Time-lapse Game From FGS 2023

There are never enough games about samurai and cats. Announced at the Future Games Show 2023, The Spirit of the Samurai will be one of them.

Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2023 culminated with the announcement of The Spirit of the Samurai. It will be a 2D action adventure game, combining soulslike and metroidvania elements.

Its action will be set in feudal Japan. As part of the game, we will take on the role of three characters - samurai Takeshi, ghost Kodama and a cat named Chisai. Each of them is to be played slightly differently, and the ability to change characters at any time will enable you to adjust your strategy on the fly.

The Spirit of the Samurai is scheduled for release in 2024 on PC and Atari VCS. You can watch the first trailer for the game below.
