New Fighting Game Lets Us Become a Galactic Boxing Celebrity
Gamers who once played the Punch-Out!!! series will soon get a game tailored to their needs. Thunder Ray will be a TPP fighting game, in which we will become celebrities of galactic boxing.
Purple Tree has announced its new game. We are talking about a TPP fighting game titled Thunder Ray, heading for PC, Nintendo Switch, as well as yet unspecified PlayStation and Xbox consoles. According to information published in the Nintendo store, the title is scheduled to debut on September 14.
- As you can see, Thunder Ray will be reminiscent of the genre's greats, led by the Punch-Out!!! series, having its roots in the era of arcade machines and the Nintendo Entertainment System console.
- In the course of the gameplay, we will play the role of Earth's best boxer, kidnapped by the Galactic Boxing Federation and taking part in the most exciting tournament in space. Painfully aware of the lack of worthy rivals on Earth, Thunder decides to accept the challenge and prove that he is a true champion.
- During the duels, we will observe the action from behind the fighter's back, bringing out hooks or chin punches.
- Winning is expected to require reflexes and the ability to anticipate opponents' movements in order to perform timely dodges and launch lightning-fast counters. Individual punches can be (and even need to be) linked into impressive combinations.
- Taking part in the tournament, we will face colorful and diverse opponents. Each of them will have a unique fighting style and characteristic moveset.
- The game will use cartoonish visuals. The developers boast of "stunning" and "handcrafted" animations.
